History/Overview
Introduced in 2017, the Chrysler Pacifica is the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model. It’s an extension of the regular Pacifica range, which itself replaced the Town & Country as Chrysler’s upscale minivan model.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
For 2021, Chrysler has refreshed the Pacifica Hybrid’s styling. There’s also a new top-end trim level that solidifies the Pacifica’s position as an upscale vehicle.
Available Trims
Chrysler offers the Pacifica Hybrid in Touring, Touring L Plus, Limited and Pinnacle trims. All are powered by a 3.6L V6 engine, and an electric motor fed by a battery that can be charged when the van is parked.
Standard Features
Pacifica Hybrid Touring’s exterior and mechanical features include a 16-kWh battery, passive keyless entry, 17-inch wheels, LED headlights/taillights/fog lights, and heated side mirrors.
Touring’s cabin comes with Bluetooth, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, a six-speaker stereo, a 7.0-inch driver info display, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, smartphone integration, cloth upholstery, a 12-way power driver’s seat, a garage door remote, 12-volt power outlets, active noise cancellation, three-zone automatic A/C, and ambient lighting.

Finally, Pinnacle trim brings platinum chrome exterior trim, automatic high beams, a suede headliner, a 115-volt power outlet, a three-pane sunroof, a 20-speaker stereo, a Uconnect entertainment system, active parking assist, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and a programmable key fob.
Key Options
A Safetytec plus package for lower trims brings adaptive cruise, automatic high beams, lane departure warning/lane keep assist, and rain-sensing wipers. A separate Safetytec group adds collision avoidance with pedestrian emergency braking.
You can also get the Uconnect theatre entertainment system as a stand-alone option in lesser trims.
Fuel Economy
Chrysler’s energy consumption estimates for the Pacifica Hybrid are 8.0/7.9 L/100 km (city/highway) when running as a hybrid model, and 2.9 Le/100 km in electric mode.
Competition
The Pacifica Hybrid’s only direct competitor is the Toyota Sienna’s new-for-2021 hybrid option; however, it is not a plug-in model.
